A rhythm comparison experiment   Christomanos Christodoulos, Georgios Papadelis Department of Music Studies - School of Fine Arts - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki   We are inviting you to participate in this research project if you are at least 18 years old and have had any kind of musical education. If you do not comply with this requirements we would like to thank you for your interest and ask you not to participate. The purpose of this experiment is to understand how people with music knowledge can discern the differences between rhythms depending on their age, their music background and other factors and make judgments and decisions. What will you be asked to do? The procedure involves hearing 720 pairs of rhythmic patterns and rate their differences from 1 to 5. Because the number of the rhythmic pairs is large you will be asked to make an account giving you the possibility to quit the experiment and resume it anytime you like without losing any progress you've made. This study is limited to people with any music knowledge or experience.
