The current study seeks to further explore the relationship between dreaming and electronic media use, especially, but not exclusively, video game playing experience. As such, we need individuals with various backgrounds in video game play, including those with limited to no experience. After reporting the dream you had the night prior to filling out the survey you will be asked a series of questions about that dream including questions about your awareness of yourself during the dream. Additionally, you will be asked which electronic media you used the day prior to the dream and what the impact of that media was on you. By participating, you make a valuable contribution to basic knowledge about the experience of video game play and more broadly the impact of media use on dreams.

Male and Female Victims of Dating Violence in Both Heterosexual and Same Sex Relationships: Differences in Attachment Style and Help-Seeking Behavior
:: |
|
Kathleen Kline, Matthew Geyer
Walden University |
|
Current research on dating violence has established that victimization by dating violence is a major social problem accross college campuses. Victimization by dating violence exists regardless of a student's gender or sexual orientation. Many victimized by dating violence experience consequences ranging from physical injury to enduring psychological trauma and even death. A link between attachment style and help-seeking behavior among individuals seeking help for various medical and psychiatric/psychological problems has led to the development of innovative interventions designed to assist those who would not otherwise seek help. The purpose of the study is to examine differences in type of violence experienced, attachment style and help-seeking behavior or type of help sought among both male and female victims of dating violence in both heterosexual and same-sex dating relationships among college students to further research in this area which could lead to the development of effective screening protocols and interventions specifically designed to assist victims of dating violence regardless of gender or sexual orientation who might not otherwise seek help. This web-based, online, completely anonymous and confidential survey is hosted on a secured, password protected, encrypted survey service site, www.surveymonkey.com. The Walden University Institutional Review Board has granted approval to conduct this study.

We are looking for participants aged 18-25, who receive coaching for their sport.
The life span period for individuals' aged 18-25 has become increasing unstable and unpredictable. Individuals within this age period have to navigate a series of major changes to employment, education, residency and relationships. Young people within this life span period are more likely to drink heavily, be involved in crime and participate in risky sexual behaviour. You will are invited to complete four questionnaires on the behaviour of your coach, your thought processes, your need satisfaction, some demographics about you and your ability to positively adapt to life events.
This survey will take no longer then 20 minutes and will enhance our knowledge of developmental experiences in sport and help us to design sporting environments that improve functioning in a athlete’s everyday life.
Thank you for your time.

The purpose of this study is to investigate pain, relationship, sexual, and psychological function, and body image among women with vulvodynia (i.e., chronic vulvar pain).
To do so, we are looking for women who:
-Experience chronic genital pain or pain upon sexual intercourse and
-Are fluent in English and over the age of 18
We are also looking for women who:
-Do NOT experience chronic genital pain or pain upon sexual intercourse and
-Do NOT experience any debilitating chronic pain condition and
-Are fluent in English and over the age of 18
In addition, the partners of women may also participate in this study. However, women do not need to be involved in a current relationship to participate.
Potential participants will complete a brief telephone screening interview (approximately 10 minutes) to ensure eligibility for the study. Some of the questions on the screening interview are personal and ask questions regarding medical history and relationship and sexual history. All calls are treated with strict confidentiality.
Subsequently, eligible participants will complete an anonymous online survey that includes questions pertaining to pain, psychological health, body image, relationship adjustment, and sexual function. This survey should take approximately 90 minutes for women with pain to complete, and 60 minutes for women without pain and partners. All the information collected from this study will be kept confidential and in a secure, password-protected database.

Differentiation in Young Adult Relationships

This study examines the level of differentiation of young adults (18-22yrs). The theory of differentiation is related to the ability to regulate anxiety, maintain a solid sense of self, and direct one's own life while resisting familial pressure to conform. Identifying elements of differentiation that differ in adults and young adults will aid in the development of targeted therapeutic interventions and will help delineate the arc of differentiation development across the lifespan.
